Supports hard to remove or leave scars
Supports are welded to the print, or tearing them off leaves a rough, damaged surface.

Try these in order
Most likely and quickest to check first. Change one thing at a time so you know what fixed it.
Gap between support and print too small
- Raise the top Z distance to 0.2 mm (one layer at 0.2 mm), or 0.25 to 0.3 mm for PETG.
- Raise the XY distance between supports and walls to 0.6 to 0.8 mm.
Too hot
- Lower the temperature by 5 °C, and use full fan on support interfaces.
Supports in the wrong places
- Use tree (organic) supports and paint them only where needed.
- Rotate the part to need less support, or split it into pieces.
